One key thing to notice about iTranslate Voice 2 is for those who already have its predecessor of the same name, it's probably not worth the upgrade price.

It also includes some support for Croatian, Hebrew, Malay, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. ITranslate Voice 2 caters to 42 different languages, including many different European languages, as well as Arabic (with different dialects included), Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, and Korean. It's clever stuff and the old fashioned person inside me can't help but mutter how it's magic. Surprisingly quickly, iTranslate Voice 2 picks up the words spoken and converts it to text on screen, before reading out the word or phrase in the second language listed.Īllowing for mistakes, it's possible to edit such words or phrases with iTranslate Voice 2 quickly adjusting to the desired results.
iTranslate Voice 2 is pretty accurate too, although understandably won't pick up whispers. Simply tap on the icon of the language that one is about to speak, then speak and wait for the results. On either side of the screen is a flag denoting the language involved. It ties into the aesthetics of iOS 7, but ultimately this isn't a tool focused on looks anyhow.
Reminiscent of the kind of technology that was once only seen on Star Trek, iTranslate Voice 2 is a very convenient tool for those who need to convert between many different languages.
